So much information... while browsing the web, I chanced upon David Byrne's (of the Talking Heads)digital journal. Although he's a celebrity from the 80's,I am not fan. I do not even know his songs. Although if it's from the 80's I must have heard it. Anyway, he has this entry about the Philippines when he visited last year to research for his musical about the Marcoses. Still can't get the hang how this works...anyway, it's enlightening reading how foreigners see our culture and our people. Byrne approaches the sights and sounds of Manila openly and without being too superior and above it all. I mean, he biked in Binondo. Quite brave of him.
