I have come to terms with the tasks that accompany my occupation. As I am token representative to our organization's events; shock absorber and sounding board, I have jokingly referred to myself as a yaya, nanny of the Japanese / Filipino artists we bring to the Philippines/ Japan.
From now on, I will empower myself and no longer be yaya (although no offense to all the yayas and nannies everywhere...) instead, I will be identified thus, a groupie.
The first days of this year, we were host to a Japanese drum group called the Yamato. They heralded the opening of Philippines-Japan Friendship Year with performances at the CCP (January 11), PETA Theater Center (Jan 12) and Marikina Riverbanks (Jan 13).
It was an exciting and successful project with lots of interesting side stories. Like the awesome arms of the drummers (both male and female... but who am i joking? am not looking at the females! hehehe); the shopping stint at the Greenhills 'fake market'; and the indoor disappointment at the Riverbanks.
Too bad I am on my way home... Tsk tsk tsk.
More tomorrow :)
