On occasions of severe tension, and extreme boredom, what is there to do, but breathe.
We all breathe (you're alive, I assume) but oftentimes, we get carried away by the circumstances in our life and just hold our breaths literally for some period of time. Not healthy.
Theater has taught me to rediscover my breathing as it is very essential in posture, delivery of lines, voice and pitch control, beats and what have you. Good breathing facilitates relaxation, the good kind where you are alert and ready for whatever's coming next.
The reason for this entry? 2 reasons. One is that I'm bored. But I have lots of things to do. LOTS. Work demands are getting more and more that even though I am not doing much now, I know, it will only be too sudden for the next project to come.
Another reason is that I have been riding the MRT these past days squooshed against people who smell like wet rags. Aside from having to contend with rudeness (hello, we are all going out, no need to bump me off the train...), I have to breathe in the humanity... ick.
Somebody tell these people to take a bath and put on a fresh change of clothes.
