Like when I watched "Himala: The Musical" in CCP last week. I wanted to watch it when it first ran 3/4 years ago, but hindi kaya ng budget ko. So when they had a despedida performance for their trip to Shanghai, I grabbed the chance. Was I floored! Ang galing :D
I was told that the one recently shown was much shorter, with a barer set. And I wouldn't have noticed because I was entranced by the performance. I'd prefer a bare(r) set for an excellent performance, then a so-so performance with a bongga set. Not to say that the set wasnt good ha? It totally complemented the desolation of the location of the play and the characters.
The music was glorious and the performers were wonderful! And to think that at some point in my wanna-be life, I shared a stage with them...
