Bizzy Bi

Was a whirling dervish yesterday, caught up in meetings outside the office, enjoying free food and good company. It was an ideal work day --- a day spent out of the office! Yippeee!

Had a morning meeting which went very well, meaning we did most of our part and just need to follow up the tasks assigned to our other partners. We just have to be diligent in following through... especially as people are not so keen on other things except Christmas preparations.

Speaking of which, I have a small letdown today. The consultant I tapped backed out on me at the last minute. It was a good thing I called her up or else I might have waited for nothing. She said she was busy with other projects... yeah, right... busy with shopping. I heard her barking directions to not make "pisat the grapes!"

Anyway, after the meeting, we went to GSIS to see Luna's multimillon dollar --- oops, multimillion peso lang pala --- painting. ehehehe. I got my boss excited over a painting the GSIS purchased for US$50million! Good thing we passed by and found out that it was after all P46million. Whew! Or else, he could have reported it to head office to find na mali pala. ehehehe. sowi. anyway, it was too good to be true... purchasing a Luna for US$50million would put him in the league of Van Gogh and Cezanne... although, why not? he's our hero, isn't he?

Got treated to good Japanese lunch and an impromptu session on Japanese fare. Varieties were explained :) Much appreciated. Expecially the actual foodie. Gindara teriyaki never fails to fill me up.

We went back to the office only to switch bosses in the car. We were then off to sign a contract and meet with the managers of a band we're tapping for a project. What I like about attending meetings outside the office is the conversation I can share with whoever it is I am with. I get to know about their personalities and take a peek into their personal lives... anyhooo....

Although it was strange going inside a pet shop to conduct a contract signing, we had a fruitful though short and sweet meeting, with the band manager (who will remain unnamed) who kept yawning and closing his eyes, ready to fall asleep... poor man.

After that, I was brought to UP for another meeting with our conference consultant. Take note that these are different projects... kaya medyo hilo ang lola niyo. Was at the meeting venue too early so looked around for stuff to do.

UP is looking different but still feels the same... Edru Abraham and his group are still rehearsing at the Faculty Center, the people are still wearing their bohemian chic, and everybody has the right to air their opinion. Case in point: Ibalik si Erap symposium and book launching! Very interesting! Omoshiroiidesu! Very twilight zone. It was very weird being told by academics that what the middle class did was wrong --- driving Erap from the presidency. Oh well...

Back to my final meeting... it was relaxed and fruitful. Everybody in high spirits. Great meeting! Am so excited for this project. Actually, am excited for all the projects next year.

Better visualize myself in Tokyo... I hope to have my efforts take fruit that way... Sigh!

All this busy-ness, I paused a while to say a silent prayer for Eury who was buried yesterday. My friend was brought to his final resting place.
