The past week was tough. A wake and a coupla parties. It gets confusing and stressful, this rollercoaster of emotions. I already cried for Eury, although not the weeping kind but the teary-eyed way. I guess I am hopeful that wherever he is now, he is better off. I was at his wake for 3 nights. The first night I went with Tito Ernie, on behalf of PETA. That was when I got emotional and sobbed a bit. The second night I went with Sheila after our office Christmas party, to attend NCCA night, and then last Saturday with Che and Maan.
Maan and Che were still angry and upset about the circumstances of Eury's death. Still full of what-ifs. Meanwhile, I think it is all futile. There is no more possibility for Eury. What-ifs could have happened way before this sad event.
The photo up there was an impromptu get-together with NCCA friends at Gateway Starbucks after Butch's mom's wake. When Tet and I met at Eury's wake, we told each other,"we better not see each other soon..." half-meaning the joke.
I gave a testimonial for Eury and I know what I shared was not particularly deep nor though-provoking, but I wish he heard it. I will miss Eury.
Thursday night, despite a splitting migraine, I rushed to Dapo in Qu
ezon City to meet up with PETA friends and Evert de Boer, our friend from the FGN, Netherlands. It was great seeing all of them, although I was late and everybody had finished eating... it was nice talking and catching up on news on our families in Holland. I hope I can still communicate with Tita Beulah.
The following day, I wasn't able to wake up early so I came to work only for half-a-day. It's good that I didn't hear too much about my halfday absence, because it was already nerve-wracking, trying to make everybody happy... but it was all worth it. The office Christmas party was so much fun! Everybody said so! I will not post any office party pictures to save the guilty happy people :)
Oh, was I glad that I took a half-day benkiyoushimasu-ing for my nihongo finals because otherwise I would've gotten a big fat zero! Wonder of wonders! I got a 32/40 and 26/30! Yipppeee!!!
Enough reason to celebrate! After class, my classmates and I treated sensei to Nagomi, a restaurant owned by a classmate. Authentic Japanese fare that would have cost us a coupla thousands if not for the big big discount!!! yooohhoooo!!! thank you isono-san! Documenting isn't my forte as I haven't taken a picture of my oishii lunch -- salmon teriyaki and shrimp tempura. Final grammar exams and nihongo class party next week.
Yesterday, we celebrated Dotie's party at Pizza Hut Bistro Gateway. It is getting to be a habit, us celebrating there but it really is convenient and nice! The waiters are a goodlooking lot too. I hope Dotie had a happy birthday. I know I enjoyed her birthday. The pictures are posted for you to judge if it were indeed happy.

These are nice photos, don't you think?
The real thing >>
