The Condors is the Japanese all-male contemporary dance group which we brought to Manila last month. Like all projects, the schedule was hectic and gruelling. Late nights and barely enough time to eat --- I actually lost some weight over a period of 5 days.
The run was not without its share of small angsts. From heavy-handed, control freaks, to supposed language gaps, to last minute lechon and guitar runs, to inner circle disco jaunts... it was a blast.
Even met Andrew E, Dice and K9 and DJ Bell's hiphop posse. I better get me a luggable digital camera... Too many photo ops missed...
The guys (well, some of them)were cute and sweet --- "bumpy-san, join the workshop! you know you can do it...", "bumpy-san, let's go dancing!" but the highlight of the whole project (for me, at least) was when we brought the last batch of the group to the airport... and the member I like most... kissed me goodbye!!!

Not so exceptional in the pic above, but he's quite nice -- not cocky, seems very level-headed (maybe because he's a highschool teacher, or so i heard), and most especially, can speak English.

The audience had a grand time. They'd better enjoy it. We had a crowd management nightmare before the house opened. Wowowee angels seemed to dance before my eyes. Not funny.

We wanted to have a cool Eurotechno party thing afterwards, like those raves. Unfortunately, techno and hiphop don't mix... hehehe.
I left the event sated but actually begging for more stimulation ;) I wanted to go dancing with the group but because I was with the manang squad, was forced to forego any fun social interactions. Sigh.
